Operation Christmas Child
This is an extension of Brothers and Sisters and is a wonderful missionary outreach that 2BC participates in each year. We partner with Samaritan's Purse by filling shoe boxes with suggested items, wrapping them in Christmas paper and sending them all over the world to needy children. Each year this is a bigger and bigger success and we hope that you, too, will become involved with this wonderful act of giving. Please contact Arlene Gibson with any questions at (207) 454-8649.

Irene Chadbourne Ecumenical Food Pantry
This is a marvelous outreach to our city as we help those that are less fortunate than ourselves. Each Thursday at the food pantry (Main Street, Calais) from 9:30am to 12 noon, we help distribute bags and boxes of food. We also have an ongoing collection for specific items called H.O.P.E.S. (Help Other People Every Sunday). There is a basket located in the sanctuary where you can donate non-perishables. For more information call Carmella Walton at (207) 796-0826.

Operation Keep ME Warm
For the past two years, members of 2BC in conjunction with the State of Maine went out into elderly and disabled people's homes to help them winterize so as to lower their heating cost. We have helped many people in Calais and plan to do it again this year! The work load is very light, so everyone can have a part. Some people just want someone to come over to sit with them awhile! Community Thanksgiving Meal
For the first part of Thanksgiving day, 2BC along with others in town get together to prepare, serve, and deliver Thanksgiving turkey dinners all over our city! We do this at Calais House of Pizza. It is a wonderful way to start off your Thanksgiving Day knowing that you have helped someone else to have a Happy Thanksgiving, too. Please call Pastor Chris at (207) 454-2579 to find out more.
